Having had Carla in hospital in the safe and caring hands of Blanca I was devastated to discover she had left the hospital when I was expecting my second baby, but I was interested to learn that she along with some other midwives had set up their own home-birthing group in Granada.

I was very nervous about having a home-birth, but after discussing it in detail with the group and in particular the safety aspects I felt fully reassured and the idea grew on me. The team were all extremely approachable and friendly and also highly experienced and professional.

I am now very pleased I made the decision to have Mark at home, I look back on it as a very positive experience. I was more relaxed throughout the whole process out of a clinical hospital environment and felt supported and safe. It was also very special for my husband who was far more involved than with the first birth in the hospital and I believe this helped me tremendously. I also have to add that it was wonderful to be able to shower in my own bathroom and snuggle with the new baby in my own bed after the birth, and it was also very special for Carla to meet her new brother at home the next morning.

I cannot put into words how highly I rate the midwives and the valuable service they are offering in Granada, I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them and cannot thank them enough for the kindness, support and care they gave before, during and after the birth of Mark.
